'Use less water, grow crops collectively'

He was speaking after visiting a field at Nallur village in Mulbagal taluk where paddy has been grown collectively on 100 acres of plot using Sree method of cultivation.

Instead of growing a crop in a few acres, it is better and efficient to grow a crop in large tracts of land using best practices. Paddy grown in Nallur stands as testimony to this, he added. Thus, farmers should emulate the example and grow crops using less water, he suggested.
