NIE student wins decathlon event

There were 23 Decathletes competing for the title. Nuthan Kumar led the group from the first event of 100 mts itself and won the title in spite of scoring no points in Pole Vault.
Ashwini Nachappa, International Athlete, presented the medal and certificate on April 16.

NIE student has won the Decathlon after a gap of almost 28 years. C V Krishnappa had won the University of Mysore title way back in 1983. The NIE Sports Committee Chairman T K Chittaranjan has congratulated Nuthan Kumar for this feat.
