In what could be called a mass transfer, the State government has ordered transfer of a number of doctors.
A meeting chaired by Health Minister Sriramulu recently decided to shift 197 specialists, 28 doctors on deputation and 236 medical officers.
The High Court had directed the government to post doctors to hospitals in rural areas.
Doctors have been transferred in pursuance of the court order.
