More than 100 companies came in at regular intervals and placed about 300 students. The placement cell of the college holds regular training sessions for its final year students on how to prepare for campus recruitment. The students are trained and tutored in this regard. “The placement coordinators are in constant touch with the market and interact with companies to gauge the market requirements and our students are trained accordingly. It’s not just theoretical aspects, we concentrate on the practical facets as well,” said Mathew S professor and head of the placement cell.

C J Pradish, head of Entrepreneurship Development Cell said that the college provides an atmosphere that facilitates learning. “The students are allowed to interact with their teachers and are encouraged to ask as many questions as possible,” he said.
Talking about their experiences during the placements, most students said that the in-house training prior to the placements really boost their confidence and helped when the real thing came along. Rix Babu, who has been placed with Tata Landmark, owes his performance to the gruelling sessions organised by the placement cell of the college.

“The college really prepared us for the placements. The various training sessions and seminars were useful. We were told about the various rounds during the placements and what we should do and shouldn’t do,” said Rix and added, “the mock aptitude tests and my participation in fests helped me a great deal.”
Shikha Jose, head of student council, literary and cultural coordinator of the college said,

“It’s been a fun learning experience during the last three years. The Wi-Fi enabled campus and well-stocked library provided opportunities for students to keep pace with the latest in the market. The placement cell worked really hard to give us a feel of what a campus placement would be like.”

Shilpa G, a final year student has been placed with Wipro. She said that she can’t wait to join the company. “The date of joining will be issued only after I complete my exams. All the mock interviews, aptitude tests and orientation by the college prior to the placements helped me face the real interview with a lot of confidence. The presentations and seminars gave me a feel of what the real thing was like,” she said.
