Will release charge-sheet against Congress leaders
Last Updated 28 April 2011, 18:43 IST

Speaking at the inauguration of new State BJP office at Malleswaram, he said he will soon release a charge-sheet against the Congress leaders on their involvement in unlawful mining.

He said his government has provided all information on illegal mining in the State to the Central Empowered Committee of the Supreme Court.

“Who gave them (mining companies) the permission to export our resources?...It was the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre that gave permission to loot. We have provided all information to the CEC. The Congress will be exposed soon,” he stated.

Yeddyurappa’s statement has come a day after the State Congress leaders, including Opposition leader Siddaramaiah, alleged in Delhi that the BJP government was allowing illegal mining and the Bellary Reddy brothers were directly involved in it.

The Congress has also decided to launch a renewed attack on the Yeddyurappa government on the issue.

Flanked by senior BJP leader L K Advani, Yeddyurappa vowed to make the Congress sit in the Opposition for another 30 years and ensure that the BJP is in power like the communists in West Bengal. He asked party workers and managers to start preparing for the the next Assembly elections.

“We should identify and field honest party workers in all the constituencies and win 150 to 160 seats to come back to power,” he stated, and assured Advani that the party in the State will win at least 24 seats in the next election to the Lok Sabha.

He gave himself a pat on the back, stating that his government has completed three years in office despite all odds and made significant progress in development of the State. “Had we won more than 125 seats, the situation would have been entirely different,” he said and listed out achievements of his government.

BJP national general secretary and Member of  Parliament Ananth Kumar said the BJP government will complete its full term.
