Beckhams, Elton John among early arrivals at royal wedding

The couple were initially spotted walking into Westminster Abbey around 9am and TV cameras caught them sitting in their proper pew not long after.

Victoria had her hair tied back in a long ponytail and accessorised the outfit with a Phillip Treacy hat and a pair of specially customised Christian Louboutin heels.

An exceedingly well-groomed David, 35, in a Ralph Lauren gray suit with matching tie of a lighter shade, had his Order of the British Empire pinned to his jacket lapel and carried a top hat.

He teamed the suit with black crocodile accented braces and personalised DB cufflinks worked in sterling silver.

Reports say that rather than presenting Prince William and Kate Middleton with a present, the Beckhams contributed to the royal couple's charities.

Music legend Elton John, one of the most esteemed celebrity guests at the ceremony, arrived with civil partner David Furnish at just before 10am.

While John wore a black tail coat and grey trousers with a purple tie, Furnish went for a black suit and grey waistcoat.

Singer Joss Stone, famous for her bare-footed hippy style, sported a tight red dress, with matching shoes, bag and a cream-coloured hat.

Filmmaker Guy Ritchie, who is actually related to Middleton, arrived with his pregnant girlfriend Jacqui Ainsley and was seen enjoying a chat with the Beckhams as they waited to be seated inside the Abbey.
