ZP members flay move to close chamber

 The offices of Zilla Panchayat president and vice-president were locked in the backdrop of appointment an Administrative Offier.

“We do not oppose the legal appointment of Administrative Officer. However, the offices of elected representative should not be locked,” said Zilla Panchayat President Radha Sundaresh. Members, who have no separate chambers to hold discussions with the people, were using president and vice-president’s chambers, she said adding that the Administrative Officer should make arrangements to open the chambers.

Members Gayathri Shanthegowda, Savitha Ramessh and K T Manjunath participated in the protest.
