The governor, who was here on a private visit, told reporters that he has “not received any communication from the Karnataka Government. From here I am not taking any decision (on convening the House). There is no fax business. If the state government has sent any communication to Raj Bhavan, I will see it when I reach Bangalore,” he said.
The governor is likely to return to Bangalore on Sunday. When asked whether he will seek a vote of confidence from the BJP Government following the Supreme Court judgment lifting the disqualification of 11 BJP and five independent legislators, he said: “I don’t have the copy of the judgment. I will examine it once I receive the copy. After studying it, I will form my opinion based on the state cabinet recommendation,” he said.
Earlier in the day, Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa said he had convened the Assembly session from Monday.
