Puthige mutt to open peetha in Canada

Speaking to media persons here on Friday, Puthige mutt seer Sri Sugunendratheertha Sripada informed the institution is one of its kind that offers an opportunity of education for Rutwik vocation for the students across the globe.

Students who have had their thread ceremony (Upanayanam) and in the age group of 10 to 16 are eligible to seek admission in the institution. The institution will get recognition from Canadian government shortly, he added.

A building worth Rs 2 crore has been purchased for the purpose.

As many as 25 to 50 students will be accommodated in the beginning. Fifteen religious preachers are employed by Puthige mutt to spread religious messages in New Jersey, Phoenix and Los Angeles, the seer informed.
