“The party leaders will definitely meet on Monday. But exact time has not been decided”, Sanjay Nirupan, AICC Karnataka incharge Secretary Sanjay Nirupan told Deccan Herald.

Meanwhile, the party welcomed the the governor decision. "In view of the Supreme Court judgment this government must go," party general secretary Madhusudan Mistry said. Dubbing B S Yeddyurappa government as the "most corrupt", he alleged that it has broken all constitutional norms to remain in power.

“If governor has recommended President's Rule then it is a welcome step,” Mistry said. He said Congress workers in Karnataka would stage demonstrations in every district headquarter and present memorandum to the authorities.

Sorabjee: Move unconstitutional
NEW DELHI, dhns: Attacking the Karnataka Governor H R Bhardwaj for recommending imposition of President's rule in the BJP-ruled state, constitutional expert Soli J Sorabjee Sunday said the Chief Minister should be allowed to prove his majority on the floor of the House.

"First of all, I do not think there is any justification for imposition of President's rule. There is no breakdown of constitutional machinery," Sorabji said.He said Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa has confidence of the House and he should be allowed to prove the majority.
