“I was very keen on acting in the movie. I wanted to play the role of Kunal Roy Kapoor... I just loved his character. But he is fat and I would have had to gain a lot of weight for the role. I did not want to do that because I know how tough it is to lose weight,” Aamir said after unveiling the theatrical promo of the movie.

Talking about the film, the 46-year-old actor said, “There is no showing of skin in the movie but it is bold and irreverent. It is not meant for kids.” Delhi Belly is a comic caper targeted at the young audience. “People who can't identify with disrespectful and unclean language ought to stay away from it. It’s an adult film. But it has an amazing script and I just had to produce this film," Aamir added.

The movie has been given an 'A' rating and the promos boldly feature scenes with sexual connotations. “When we went to the Censors, we approached them for an A-certificate. Censor Board hasn’t cut any scenes from the film, and in fact seems to have enjoyed the film,” Aamir said.

When asked if the Censor Board raised objections to the use of expletives in Delhi Belly, Aamir said that the members of the reviewing committee “enjoyed the film to the fullest”. Not surprisingly, they agreed to issue an ‘A’ certificate without asking for anything to be toned down. He also made it clear that the film has “no skin show”.

About having differences with the director, Aamir said that Abhinay has done full justice to the film, which belongs to the genre of Hollywood movies like ‘Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels’ (1998) and ‘The Hangover’ (2009). He said he was content with the way the film has been shot.

The film stars Imran Khan, Kunal Roy Kapoor, Poorna Jagannathan, Vir Das, Shenaz Treasurywala in pivotal roles. The promos of Delly Belly will be played in cinemas alongside Ekta Kapoor's Ragini MMS pretty soon. The film releases in July.
