“I have lot of respect for the prime minister who is upright in his actions. I am 100 percent confident that he will not accept the governor’s recommendation,” Yeddyurappa told reporters shortly before leaving for New Delhi.

State BJP president K.S. Eshwarappa said the party will organise protests in all the 30 districts of Karnataka Tuesday against Bhardwaj’s action. “We want him (governor) out,” he said.

Yeddyurappa, state BJP lawmakers, party MPs and other leaders have left in three batches for New Delhi to put pressure on President Pratibha Patil and the central government to reject Bhardwaj’s report.

“All 120 BJP leaders and party parliament members will be in New Delhi,” Yeddyurappa said.

Earlier, he lambasted Bhardwaj and his frequent Delhi visits.

“He stayed for five days in Delhi and told reporters that he had not received our letter on convening the assembly from today (May 16).

“How can this happen? What was his office doing here? Every moment the governor should be kept informed. If he was not, then he does not deserve to be governor,” Yeddyurappa said.
