Rains, winds damage property in Tarikere

Several tiles and sheets of the houses were flown away.

A coconut tree was uprooted on Akkasaligara Beedi and fell on a moving tractor. The driver had a miraculous escape in the incident. Coconut trees have also been uprooted at Vinayaka Nagara.

A transformer pole fell on a mobile tower, incurring a huge loss. A house was collapsed at Machenahalli. As there was no one in the house, a tragedy was averted. An electric pole which was uprooted at Dalavayo Kere area disrupted the movement of vehicles.

Owing to the uprooting of electric poles, the supply of power was disrupted for few hours in the taluk.
