Speaking after inaugurating P Lankesh’s play ‘Sankranthi’ at the premises of Amarajyothi school in the City on Sunday, he said though staging a play in the changing times is a tough task, various efforts made towards keeping the art alive is highly commendable.
Plays are a good platform for an individual to exhibit his or her talents. A greater number of actors in the filmdom today have a theatre background. Staging Kannada plays in border areas like Mulbagal help in strengthening the Kannada language and culture, said Rotary Central president Kadenahalli Nagaraj.
