HC posts CM's case to May 24

Justice B Manohar adjourned to May 24 hearing of the interim application filed by Sirajin Basha, an advocate who along with his associate K N Balaraj had filed a private complaint against Yeddyurappa and his family members.

The Supreme court had on April 29 refused to quash a Karnataka High Court order which stayed criminal proceedings against Yeddyurappa and his family members in the case.
A division bench comprising Justice V S Sirpurkar and Justice T S Thakur dismissed the petition filed by the advocates challenging the stay by the High Court against a trial court order which had taken cognisance of the complaint filed against the Chief Minister and his family.

While dismissing the petition, the bench, however, asked the High Court to consider the application moved by the complainant, if any, for vacation of the stay not later than six weeks.
