Tailoring training classes inaugurated

He was speaking at the inauguration of six-month tailoring classes and electrician training programme organised at Hemmaragala village in Nanjangud taluk recently. Thousands of youths and women had already undergone training in various courses offered by the institution and had formed a livelihood.

Persons who had undergone training in tailoring and electrician courses had been earning good profits. Besides, the institute will issue a training certificate for the persons who undergo training so that they can set up their own businesses too, he said. The nationalised banks will provide loans to set up small scale industries and purchase equipment on the basis of this training certificate, he added. 

Speaking on the occasion, headmaster of the High School in Hemmeragala village Narayanashetty lauded the services of the Sansthan in the areas of job creation activities and improving the standard of living of both rural and urban dwellers. 

In her address, District Programme Officer of Jan Shikshan Sansthan N S Kusumdevi advised women to use the facilities provided by the institution. Women must set out to carve their own niche in the society with income generation activities, she said.

On the occasion, the JSS Janshikshan Sansthan, Nanjangud taluk programme officer Malathi said that Sansthan was also involved in increasing rate of literacy in the district. The Santhan needed more number of volunteers to educate the people. Interested candidates can apply with the bio-data and related details.
