The Mangalore - Kochi - Mumbai flight had started from Mangalore airport at 9.30 pm.

Meanwhile, a member of the Airport Advisory Committee who could not board the flight was waiting at the airport lounge. The woman started shouting at the officials when she heard the announcement of the flight’s take off. Finally, the security officials of the airline company sent message to the pilot asking him to return. Following this, the pilot took back the flight and picked the passenger.

However, pilot reported the incident to the Director General of the Civil Aviation Ministry and consequently an enquiry was also ordered to probe the episode. Airport director in-charge B R Sena said that the pilot had to stop the flight since a passenger was waiting at the lounge.
