Change in pattern of trains via Coimbatore

Due to a major work of dismantling of Road Over Bridge No A35 between Pilamedu and Coimbatore North Stations as part of Coimbatore- Irugur doubling, a 24 hour line block from midnight of July 28 to July 29 will be in force between Coimbatore North and Irugur, necessitating some changes in the pattern of train services for one day on July 28.

According to a press release, all trains running via Coimbatore junction will run via Irugur-Podanur without touching Coimbatore Junction on the said day. They will have a stoppage at Podanur instead of Coimbatore Junction. The trains are No 6107/6108 Chennai Egmore- Mangalore-Chennai Egmore Expresses, No 6687 Mangalore- Jammu Tawi Express and No 6627/6628 Chennai-Mangalore-Chennai Expresses.

There will be no change in the operation of No 387/388 Coimbatore- Mangalore- Coimbatore Passengers which will continue to be handled at Coimbatore Junction as usual.
