On July 13, the Supreme Court had granted him interim bail of two month on the surety of Rs 50,000 and on the condition that he clear the dues owed to investors.
Srinivas and 19 others are accused of duping investors to the tune of Rs 203 crore by promising them a high rate of interest. The Central Police Station had filed three preliminary charge sheets against him and later the case was handed over to the Corps of Detectives later.
A total of 14 cases are registered against Shastri and 19 others in Bangalore, Dakshina Kannada, Shimoga, Mysore, Tumkur and Raichur between Nov 2005 and Oct 2006.
