Besides, he would tour the district in next two months to have the feeling as it would help in implementing developmental works.
There is ample opportunity in the development of tourism and industries. Though Bangalore is located near Hassan, there are hardly any industries in the district. “ I will complete all works that were started by his predecessor Naveenraj Singh”.
On alleged bottlenecks for officials to work in the district, he said it was the duty of officials to take government programmes to the doorsteps of people. The Deputy Commissioner can not take any unilateral decision in any works. But he would consult the elected representatives and also seek people’s opinion before executing any works.
On meters for autorickshaws, he promised to sort out this issue by discussing with RTO and other officials concerned.
Dr K G Jagadeesh belongs to 2005 batch of IAS. He hails from Koratagere in Tumkur district. Earlier, he worked as a Deputy commissioner in Ramnagar and Yadgir districts. He is also a PhD holder in Genetics.
