Police officials in Madhubani, about 200 km from here, said that a Bolero utility vehicle carrying the family members and supporters of Veena Devi, a candidate who won in the panchayat polls, was hit by the Nizamuddin-Jainagar Garib Rath Express near Bharia-Bishanpur village.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced compensation of Rs.1.5 lakh each for the families of those killed, an official release said.
