'Dharmashree' for Ashok Singhal

Replying to the honour  Singhal said there is a need to sustain the movement to   protect  Ram Janma Bhoomi. The society should fight against corruption. “With the introduction of western education system, our Gurukula system of education has disappeared. Hence, our culture is getting damaged. RSS shakhas should provide Gurukula system of education and thus preserve our heritage and tradition,”Singhal said.

Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa said “with the support of the seers, I will complete my remaining two years without any problem. Development work will be undertaken in the state.”

“Indian culture and family system is one best in the world,” he added.   ‘Dharmashree’ award is given annually to those who have rendered meritorious services in the field of religious, social, and other sectors.

Winners

Sri Raghaveshwara Bharati Swamiji, Rama Jois, and writer S L Bhyrappa, have received the award in the past.
