Gunmen kill 8 in Baghdad

 Two police officials said unidentified gunmen broke into the Rafidain Bank in Baghdad’s commercial Karradah district on Monday morning, killing the guards and making off with a large amount of cash. An initial investigation shows the gunmen used silencer-equipped weapons because witnesses did not hear any gunfire, an official said. The other official said the robbery appeared to be the work of insurgents attempting to finance their operations.
