Workshop held for secretaries of milk co-ops in Mulbagal

Kolar-Chikkaballapur Milk Federation president Urigili S R Rudraswamy, who chaired over the deliberations, said the societies would be more strengthened if the secretaries discharge their duties with much more efficiency.

He felt that the secretaries need to educate themselves on various aspects of their duty.

Closure on the cards

Komul director Kadenahalli Nagaraj said the milk federation may face closure in the event of failure to meet the standards and ensuring customer satisfaction.

He called upon milk producers to strive to maintain the quality so as to retain the customer loyalty.

Minimise cost

Komul manager Dr B N Nagaraj said several schemes had been introduced to minimise cost of production by effective utilisation of the available resources.He said workshops would be held for milk producers to create awareness on such measures.

District Cooperative Union director Alangur Shivashankar, former president R Narayanagowda, Taluk Agriculture Produce Marketing Cooperative Society president K Thimmarayappa and others were present.

Assistant registrar of cooperative societies B P Linganna spoke on the recent amendments to the Karnataka Cooperative Societies Act, Kolar District Credit Cooperative Bank manager Doddamani Hussein Sab spoke on maintaining accounts, Komul manager Dr N Krishna Reddy presented a paper producing quality milk and district cooperative union chief executive officer D Mahadevaiah spoke on conducting meetings of the executive body.
