Chitra to take on Uma for title

Chitra thumped State No 3 Indira Gowda 2-0 (75-26, 76-17) en route her final entry and Uma dished out an identical 2-0 (75-18, 75-50) win against Lakshmi Suryanarayan in her semifinal match.

Chitra, who surged past Varsha 2-0 (51-8, 51-11) in her quarterfinal match earlier in the day, ripped through the first frame and followed it up with an even better performance in the second.

Uma waltzed past former State No 1 Lakshmi in the first frame but had to fight it out before grabbing the second.

Earlier, Uma defeated Mandeep Kaur in the semifinals while Chitra got past Varsha by identical 2-0 margins.
