Land dispute: Group attacks policemen

There was a land dispute which had happened between Sudhakar of Shagatthur and Narayanaswamy of Kammasandra, in which the Court had given the judgement over the land row in favour of Sudhakar.

Tilling land

Following the judgement, when Sudhakar was tilling the land, some persons who were said to be Narayanaswamy’s men, tried to stop tilling the land, it is learnt.

Sudhakar finally lodged a complaint with the Kolar Rural police station.

When the police visited the spot and were trying to pacify the two groups, one of the groups attacked the police and the police jeep with stones.

Head constable Nagaraj, Narayanaswamy, Krishnappa, jeep driver Ashwath were injured in the attack.

Two arrested

Two persons have been arrested in this connection, stated sources from the police.
ASP Phaneendra Singh, Sub-inspector of Rural police station Dhananjay, Srinivaspur police station circle inspector H Srinivas, sub-inspector B R Prakash visited the spot and reviewed the situation.
