KPSC relaxed norms for some: CID

The CID in its report submitted to the High Court last week stated that Yogeshwar S, now appointed tahsildar, had not enclosed a degree certificate but submitted only marks card of the final year degree. Rajendra Prasad M N, now tahsildar, also furnished only cumulative grade card; Patil Yalagouda Shivanagowda, assistant commissioner, Joshi Srinath Mahadev, DySP and Shankar Vanikyal, tahsildar, had also not enclosed the degree certificates. Arun Furtado, District Officer SC/ ST welfare, and Siri Gowri D R, now a DySP, had neither enclosed their degree certificates nor filled in the reservation column; Maruthi M P has not signed even the declaration.

The CID stated the special meeting held on February 17, 2000, the KPSC decided to accept the candidates’ applications, despite the omissions.

In its reply to the CID, the KPSC said it had special powers to consider such applications, said the CID report.
