Rally to mark 'World No Tobacco Day' held

Members belonging to various organisations participated in  processions and bike rallies held here on Tuesday as part of  ‘World No Tobacco Day’.

Holding placards with messages against the use of tobacco, students of Hasanamba Dental College and Hassan District Dentists Association jointly participated in a rally that passed through the major roads of the city.

Cadets of 15 Kar Bn NCC, students of CKC High School and Women’s First Grade College took part in the rally and arrived near office of the Deputy Commissioner. The students took an oath administered by Deputy Commissioner K G Jagadish against the use of tobacco.

Battalion Commanding Officer R M Singh, Subedar Major Sathyanarayana, NCC Officer M Kusuma, Radhakrishna, Biju, Charles Mallikarjun and others were present.

Competitions including poster presentation and slogan writing were conducted on the occasion.
