In a class of his own, the multiple world champion hardly broke sweat, dismantling Wilson Fernandes 150-12 in the Group A fixture at the East Cultural Association.

Playing with the handicap of 900, Advani, competing in the tournament for the tenth time in succession, conjured three century breaks, outplaying his opponent with effortless ease in the 150-up format event.

Apart from Advani, the other big guns competing in the Rs 75,000 prize money tournament are Dhruv Sitwala, Devendra Joshi and B Bhaskar with all three carrying a handicap of 900.
Reigning Junior National champion Mundir Sherazi and talented IH Manudev are other big tickets in the fray while R Umadevi Nagaraj will be the lone female cueist battling it out.
The Super League phase has four groups of four cueists with each playing three matches respectively. The top two qualify for the knockout quarterfinals on Saturday with the semifinals and final scheduled for Sunday.

Group D: Sasha Sambi (-300) bt Bharat Chugh (-250) 150-70.
