PM asking ministers to declare assets right decision: Sibal

"This is a right decision and a good step by the Prime Minister. This should happen and every minister should give their details. There is no problem in this," Sibal told reporters here. The ministers have been asked to furnish the details by August 31 as per an annual exercise in accordance with the Code of Conduct for Ministers.

The annual exercise by the Prime Minister is part of his efforts to ensure probity and transparency of his cabinet colleagues amidst a string of scams that have hit the government.
