In the hands of fans

“We have five posters but every film has one main poster besides other publicity posters. There was a disagreement between me and Mohit Suri on the main poster of the film. We thought the best way out is to show all the posters to the people of the country and let them select one,” said Mahesh Bhatt, who wrote the script of the film.

Fans can view the posters on www.face­book.com­/m2thefilm and vote for their favourite. The one with the maximum ‘likes’ on the social networking site will be selected as the main poster and five fans who give the best comment on ‘why you chose this poster’ will get to meet the lead star cast. “Mohit and I will blindly go ahead with people’s opinion. At the end of the day, posters are for people, so let them tell us which is the best poster of the lot. In fact, now we are eager to know which one the people will  select,” the veteran filmmaker said.

Starring Mallika Sherawat and Emraan Hashmi, ‘Murder’ was a big hit in 2004 but in its sequel, newbie actress Jacqueline Fernandez has replaced Mallika. Directed by Mohit Suri, ‘Murder 2’ hits the theatres on July 8. Earlier, while uploading a trailer of ‘Murder 2’ on his Twitter account, Bhatt had tweeted, “This promo has created a rift within our group. We have extreme views. Please watch this and send me your feedback.”
