'Roads in Malur taluk to see better days'

The connecting roads will be developed at an expenditure of Rs 16 crore, while an amount of Rs 40 crore has been set aside for development of the Industrial Layout roads, he said.
“The government had been submitted a proposal to develop bad roads in the taluk at an expenditure of Rs 34 crore. An amount of Rs 16 crore has already been released under the first phase. Work to asphalt roads from Hoskote to V Kote on the Andhra Pradesh border and to Bangarpet via Tekal, from Kolar to Masti via Toralakki and Malur to Picchaguntrahalli via Kadadenahalli will begin soon,” he said.

Narayana Setty Memorial Trust is sponsoring bicycles for 150 priests working in the temples in Malur taluk. The bicycles will be distributed on June 14 at the Chikkathirupathi Venkataramanaswamy Temple, he said and added that as many as 100 physically challenged persons will also be given bicycles.

Setty also said that up to 500 houses will be granted “if the list of disposed eligible beneficiaries within Nosagere Gram Panchayat limits is given to the government.”
Speaking of water supply, the legislator said 290 villages will be provided with potable water from the Markandeya tank during Varamahalakshmi festival.

Nosagere Gram Panchayat president K M Ashok presided over the meeting. Parvathamma Chinnaswamy, former president B N Mallikarjunaiah, P M Venkatesh, members Venkateshappa, Venkatareddy, C M Narayanaswamy, Nagaraj, Krishnappa were present.
