Yadav had two perfect headers in the 60th and 71st minutes off the supply of Renedy Singh and Deepak Mondal respectively at the Centre of High Performance Sports in Barcelona on Wednesday night to give Bob Houghton’s wards a morale-boosting win. Houghton continued with his experiment replacing the entire starting line-up, barring goalkeeper Subrata Pal, after the breather. The match was also practically reduced to four sessions with a two-minute water break being given midway into the first half and then again in the second session. India fielded the same starting line-up that played in the first game.
After the breather Mahesh Gawli and Govin Moirangthem replaced Gouramangi.

Abhishek nearly score in the 58th minute but his shot went wide. The lanky striker made amends two minutes later when he headed in a Renedy cross to give India lead.

India doubled the margin nine minutes later with Abhishek rising over his marker to head in a cross -- this time from Deepak, who led the Indian side in the second half -- past a hapless El Prat goalkeeper.

El Prat had a chance to reduce the margin in the 79th minute but the ball went by the post.
