Odanadi wants action against Ramdev

“The statement of Ramdev to fight corruption with arms and weapons in every districts across the country is a dreadfull call. It grossly undermines the democratic values and creates a fear psychosis among those who believe in constitution and democracy. People like Ramdev are responsible for turning the peaceful agitation into a violence,” Stanley and Parashu of Odanadi said in a statement here and urged the Police Commissioner to act against Ramdev.

Police chief reacts

When contacted, Police Commissioner Sunil Agarwal said he did not receive any complaint.
“I don’t know if they have dropped the complaint letter in my office. I need to check it. However, if there is any such statements by Ramdev, the complaint should be lodged with respective jurisdiction police where he has made the remarks,” he added.

The police station concerned would take up the issue if his remarks or statements tantamount to violation of the constitution and the democratic principles, he stated.
