He charged the TMC with masterminding indiscriminate violence, particularly during and after the second phase when 17 constituencies went to the polls on May 7. Bose said this violence was part of a gameplan to scare away the voters.

Altogether 11 constituencies, including Kolkata South and Kolkata North will go to the polls in the final phase on May 13. A number of these areas, including Kolkata South, from where Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee seeks re-election, has a significant opposition presence.

At least 10 people, including a toddler and a teenager, were killed in separate incidents of violence during and after the second phase of elections to 17 Parliamentary constituencies of the state as supporters of rival political parties clashed with bombs, fire arms and sharp weapons.
