Students continue protest in KGF

The students had also taken out a protest rally in the City before converging at the Nadakacheri where they protested.

Earlier Education Department in its order had stated the shifting of the College as it didn’t have its own land and was functioning from a school premises. The officials from CMC and City Development Board were quick to  join the protesters and also demanded land for the College.

More than 600 students are studying in the College. Most of whom are from rural areas and belong to SC/ST and minority communities.

The shifting of the college would adversely effect the education of these students, alleged DYFI and SFI students. The protesters later submitted a memorandum to the special tahsildar.
