Spate of robberies

The robberies took place in the space of half an hour. Manjunath, a resident of 8th Main, 4th Cross, RPC Layout,  was standing outside his house and speaking on his mobile phone, when two youths stopped the bike they were riding, threw chilli powder in his eyes, blinding him temporarily, took away valuables and sped from the scene.

Bheemraj, a resident of 4th Main Road Rajajinagar lost his gold chain in a similar way. He was getting out of his car near the house, when two youths on a motor-cycle stopped their vehicle and the pillion rider slapped the car owner. Before Bheeraj could react, the duo snatched the gold chain and vanished.

In another incident, Gopal of Girinagar was walking near the BDA Park on Avalahalli main Road, when two youths waylaid him, and at gunpoint robbed him of a gold bracelet, gold chain, wrist watch and an expensive mobile phone. Police believe the same duo was involved in the three robberies.
