Vivekananda Express chugs into Bangalore

Vivekananda Express, an exhibition train showcasing the life, teachings and works of Swami Vivekananda today chugged into Bangalore station and would be thrown open for public viewing at Cantonment station, starting today.

The train, flagged off on Jan12 from Howrah by then Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee,to commemorate the 150th birth centenary of the saint-philosopher, will continue to be stationed for public viewing for the next two days, a release said.

The train has special exhibits and write-ups on the sage.The train will be moved to Ashokpuram (Mysore) where it will be on display from June 21 to Jun24.The exhibition train will reach Dharmapuri on June 25 for public viewing. It will leave for Pudduchery at eight pm on the same day.

The train will criss-cross the country till January 13, 2012
