Double Dhamaal stars Mallika Sherawat and Kangana Ranaut but neither of them is romantically involved with the four protagonists — Riteish, Arshad Warsi, Javed Jaffery and Ashish Choudhry. “None of us has any romantic angle with any of these two great looking females. We boys are together and we are happy to be in love with each other,” said Riteish.

According to the plot, the actresses are with Sanjay Dutt, who is being taken on by the quartet in the film.

“Double Dhamaal shows that Sanjay gets rich and is enjoying all the luxuries in his life. Kangana and Mallika are with him and it is basically their trio versus our quartet that takes each other heads on in this sequel,” says Riteish.

Dhamaal (2007) was about four simpletons who come across a treasure worth Rs 10 crore.

Though the film ends with the money going to charity, the truth is revealed in Double Dhamaal, with Sanjay Dutt actually keeping all the booty to himself. Once the quartet gets to know about this, it chases down Dutt in a hilarious rollercoaster ride.

“All four of us are pretty much in sync with each other. We all have started thinking alike. I don’t think now we would look like four actors just doing our job. We behave pretty much alike and are more like one actor in four different bodies,” says Riteish. The 32-year-old actor says that the film’s director Indra Kumar has ensured that Double Dhamaal is bigger than the original in every way, not wanting to bank on the success of the first film. “The film is looking much bigger and better. Induji (Indra Kumar) has ensured that we take forward the dhamaal element in a big way.

“Whether in terms of scale, sets, music, jokes or the overall glamour quotient, everything has been worked upon all over again. We aren’t merely relying upon the fact that we have a successful franchise in hand. Also, with Kangana and Mallika joining us, the glamour quotient has been taken care of as well,” he adds. With Dhamaal being a success, expectations are high on the sequel, releasing on June 24.
