The commissioner visited the areas under Uttarahalli ward around AGS Layout on Thursday and found civic amenities in a pathetic state. The asphalting was missing on most of the roads and were found dotted with potholes making it difficult for commuters to use them.
Siddaiah also ordered to levy a penalty of Rs 25,000 on a florist, who let water on the road. The local corporator complained that high-rise buildings were coming up under high-tension wires and urged the officer to check such violations. Based on the complaint, the commissioner directed the officials to scrap such building projects.
