The infrastructure facilities and the academic environment in the school is second to none. It is the pride of the residents of the village with 50 houses amidst forests and hillocks, five km east of Jakkanahalli.

Headmaster Rangappa says the school has only made use of the facilties made available by the state government. The classrooms, furniture, corridor, kitchen for Aksharadasoha, storeroom, ramp for the physically challenged, drinking water facility, separate toilets for boys and girls, garden, rainwater harvesting facility, shelters for implementation of the Nali-Kali project, teaching aids are all in good condition.

Earlier, the school was in a pathetic condition. Taluk and district level education officers, who had visited the school, had expressed their dissatisfaction over the situation in the school.

Everything changed after the new headmaster came. He, with the support of teacher Krishna, gave new look to the school. Now, we are proud of our school, said Puttaswamy, president of the school development and management committee.

The students of the school have also secured several prizes in various academic and cultural competitions and events, he added.
