The bus depot has a two-floored traffic control centre which has been established at a cost Rs 1.5 crore. The bus depot was inaugurated by Home Minister R Ashoka.
The Home Minister said: “Our Government wants every village and taluk in the State to have bus services.”
Minister for Labour and Sericulture B N Bachegowda, who was also present at the inauguration, promised the silk growers of Ramanagara district that the Government would fix minimum support price (MSP) for their produce.
On the proposed Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) campus in Ramanagara, he said: “The confusion over where the university will come up is being sorted out. The project will begin soon,” he added.
