Postage stamp released

He was addressing a gathering, after releasing a postage stamp of Rs 5 denomination, to commemorate 125 years of the St Joseph’s College, on Saturday.

He said, European Christians had founded the Indian National Congress. “It was Christians who fought for the freedom of India initially. Lord Macaulay studied Indian religious books and Kautilya’s Arthashastra to frame a law, which is still effective,” said Bhardwaj.

Sachin Pilot, Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology said, the college had done remarkably well in the field of education.

Feather in its cap

The postage stamp, another feather to the College’s cap, shows its aesthetic structure along with the dome and trees around. The College authorities claimed that the institution was first in the country to have a postage stamp featuring it.
