A complaint was filed against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Bengaluru Development Minister K J George with the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Anti Corruption Bureau alleging financial irregularities in setting up of waste processing units in city.

BJP leader and former corporator N R Ramesh, who filed the complaint, told reporters on Tuesday that six waste processing units were set up by Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) at a cost of Rs 400 crore in 2015.

Of the total 12 plants, six have stopped working, including those at Mavallipura, Chikkanagamangala, Subbarayanapalya, Seegehalli, Doddabidarakallu and Lingadhiranahalli.

Ramesh accused the chief minister and Geroge of taking kickbacks in awarding contracts to set up these units.
