A kaleidoscope of colours

Explaining how the brand conceived the different collections and the thought process that went into the making of each of them, Rajat Luthra, CEO, Celio, Future Fashion Ltd, explains, “The ‘Sportswear’ or ‘Relax’ comprises styles that is best suited for weekend outings, adventures, sports, excursion, or even generally hanging out with friends.”

It has printed T-shirts, polos with sporty blazons and patches, cargos and rugged Bermudas, shirts with loud checks and pockets and denims with heavy washes and destroyed effects.

Then comes the ‘Casual Wear’ or ‘Urban’, which is more sober, ideal for a Friday wear at the office or to college. “These also have T-shirts, classic plain polos in various colours, slim fit full-sleeve shirts, casual trousers – very clean cuts and slim fit – and denims with light washes and straight fits,” he says.

Celio’s linen shirts are not monotonous and care has been taken to offer a pretty good variety in this line. ‘Celio Linens’ are classic summer wear. The colours come in light pastel summery shades of sea blue, yellow, cream, beige and pink. “The styling is classic yet simple and functional. Our collection in checks come in full and half sleeves,” he says.

The ‘Celio Chromie’ segment and ‘Campus Collection’ are infused with a kaleidoscope of colours ranging from yellow zest, frosted orange, blackcurrant sorbet to hues of greys, blues and beige. “This unique colour palette of 26 shades illustrates the diversity and is designed keeping the young in mind,” he adds.

The Campus Collection comes in flashes of bright colours. “This vintage trend with new, more fitted proportions express a relaxed style through the choice of materials and host of treatments – washed knits, worn cotton canvas, pigment dyes,” he says and adds, “the teddy jacket and checked shirts have been reintroduced and in this collection blue takes on every tone with indigo playing a dominant role. Jeans add character with their many different washes, demonstrating a strong leaning towards light shades.”
