<p>He was speaking after inaugurating the newly built District Health Training Centre in Surathkal on Tuesday. The Centre has been established at a cost of Rs 90 lakh under Karnataka Health System Development and Reform Project. <br /><br />Speaking on the occasion, he said seven Primary Health Centres in the district will get new buildings and they will be built at a total cost of Rs 6.44 crore. “New buildings will be built for the PHCs at Guthhigaru and Bellare in Sullia taluk, Kaniyooru and Aladangadi in Belthangady taluk, Koila in Puttur taluk, Kudupu and Natekal in Mangalore taluk each at a cost of Rs 92 lakh. The recruitment process has been already started to meet the problem of staff shortage,” he informed.<br /><br />Meanwhile, he said the Government Hospital at Bantwal is being upgraded as 100 bed hospital. </p>.<p>Karnataka Health System Development and Reform Project Assistant Executive Engineer Jagadish, Centre’s Principal Dr M R Nayak and others were present.<br /><br /></p>
