In such a short span of time Ragini proved to the industry that there’s more to her than just good looks. Kickstarting the year with a hit like Kempegowda, the actress has entered the big league and bagged movies starring Shivrajkumar, Aditya and Upendra. But Ragini tells ‘Metrolife’ that as much as she is ecstatic about acting with them, it’s still the script that matters the most.

“I’m grateful for having had such amazing co-stars. Each one of them is so different from the other, and there’s something to learn from all of them. Shivanna is a powerhouse of energy. He’s one of the most dynamic actors I have ever met. Upendra is a fabulous human being.

You will always find us discussing new concepts and ideas related to films. I feel I have grown heaps as an actress working with Upendra. Aditya is the strong and silent types, but it’s loads of fun shooting with him,” says Ragini.

Nevertheless, Ragini says that working with such big stars also means there is a lot of pressure on her to perform. “The fact that these projects have such talented artistes and directors on board only pushes me to perform even better and I can see myself going into a whole new level of filmmaking,” she says.

Ask her about her role in Shiva and she prefers to keep mum about it for now. “This is the first time director Om Prakash, Shivanna and I are coming together. The film is turning out so well and there are so many elements to my character that I will keep my role a surprise,” says Ragini.

From a Christian girl in Shiva, an RJ in Tippu to a psychiatrist in Aarakshaka, Ragini is excited about showcasing an array of characters in the coming months. But she still longs to do an action flick. “I am now very keen on doing a good action movie and I want to try a double role. It will be nice to see two of me on screen,” she laughs and adds, “Though my mom says that the thought of having two of me is a scary thing.”
