At a meeting chaired by the party state-unit president K S Eshwarappa in Bangalore on Friday, it was decided that only those authorised by the party leadership would be allowed to participate in panel discussions and talk shows in the media, and with prior permission.

“The Lokayukta mining report is a sensitive issue to the party as well as the government. In a bid to avoid any embarrassment to the party, we have asked members to seek permission from the party leadership before going to the media or participating in panel discussions,” BJP Spokersperson Ayanur Manjunath said.
