The judge convicted Kaushik Devanath, Sushanth and Narasimha Sahu and imposed a fine of Rs 2,000 on each of them.
The trio will have to undergo one year’s simple imprisonment for default of payment.
The trio forcibly took 13-year-old Kamala (name changed) away from a toilet at Brigade Court Yard in Jalahalli and then took her to a bush.
Kaushik and Sushanth raped her, while Sahu stood guard.
They strangled her after the rape, threw the body near the bush and absconded.
Jalahalli police investigated into the case. Gangadhar Shetty was the public prosecutor.
