Navodaya students are champs

As the students from 17 schools gave their test for  ICube - Imagine, Innovate and Integrate, the team from Navodaya school romped home with the overall championship. The Maharshi students had to be satisfied with the runners up position. Deccan Herald is the media partner for the event.

ICube tried to bring out the creativity among the students through various events. The Imagine section had two sub events – Plan-It and Spark. Here students were given the atmospheric conditions of planet mars and were asked to write how human beings can inhabit there.

Under Innovate, sub events, Run-A Moc and Beam box, the participants were given kits to make a working model of car and were asked to produce spectrum using a prism and merge them back.

In Integrate section, Qwikfix asked students to reassemble a disassembled calculator, while Cranetec, another section tested the proficiency of students in building a working crane.

Interestingly, the whole event was managed by the first year pre-university students of the college, including the panel of judges who selected the winners of the contest.
